Square Poster Kitty Cow

This cow was created to celebrate Product Hunt's 7th Birthday, on Nov 6, 2020, and is available in the No Meat Today app as a special look any cow attracted that day will put on.

🐮 Story of this cow

Back in February 2020, when No Meat Today was hunted Product Hunt, I told myself that I should create some cow for Product Hunt. At the time, there were only a handful of cows, because that was the only way for me to ship it without waiting another 3 years.

Since then, I added the ability to unlock special looks and I started having fun with it.

Product Hunt's mascot is a famous kitty, and this look is its unholy child.

🧬 Is it still a cow?

Well, yes. Cows in No Meat Today are notorious shape-shifters, but their spirit always remains one of a cow.

🐱 Does it purr or does it moo?

It depends on the direction in which you pet it. Legend says that a 2/3-stack dev tried to pet it both ways at the same time in a desperate attempt at growth hacking. It's just a legend, I prefer not to talk about it.

🌟 Why would I buy this?

• To get a smile on your face every time you see it.

• To make me happy (I kid you not, my heart races every time I get notified about a sale)

🤔 You forgot the brand. Are you insane?

I have decided not to put the "No Meat Today" name on any of the products for several reasons :

• There's no room for it without killing the aesthetic. On the stickers, it would mess with the cut, and on prints, I would have to spend hours placing the name correctly for each print size, plus I find that it attracts the eye too much
  
• I would rather have you enjoy clean designs multiple times every day rather than improve my chances for another sale. The occurrence of the former vastly outweighs that of the latter, and I want you to be happy.
  
• The name is not the brand, the cow is: the cow is the brand, and while there are designs (like the Bantha) that take some distance from it, they mostly look alike. My daughter calls them all "daddy's cow." ☺️
  

🏭 About the prints

Those Museum-quality posters are made on thick and durable matte paper. Each poster is giclée-printed on archival, acid-free paper that yields brilliant prints to brighten up any room.

They are printed and shipped by Printful, because, let's face it, my printer would do an awful job and probably run out of ink midway.

• 1-2 weeks to get it in your mailbox for most people
  
• you'll receive a tracking link when your order ships out
  
• no returns or exchanges unless it would be fair to do so - DMs open @nomeat_today or by email via the app.
  

🙌 Where will my money go?

About 60% of the price before shipping goes to Gumroad (here), Printful (printer), and Taxes.

The rest goes to me, but I redirect 5% towards charities acting in favor of animal welfare, oceans & trees.

👋 Wait, who are you again, and what am I doing here?

My name is Arnaud Joubay (@sowenjub), and I created an iOS app called No Meat Today to help me eat less meat. It became way too idiotic and useful to keep it just to myself, so I decided to publish it.

Since then, I've been creating more and more cows that you can unlock in the app on special occasions.

Regarding what you are doing here, some of it is clear (your parents did something good, you, and you followed a web link or something), and some aren't. If you're like most of us, you might be procrastinating about some boring thing you'll end up doing in a rush, or it's bedtime, and you used your phone even though you need to sleep and swore not to do that anymore.

Anyhow, stop all that thinking, and treat yourself; you deserve it.
